About Counselling Currently offering telephone and video counselling due to Coronavirus outbreak.
Life can be hard at times and things happen which create difficulties for us such as bereavement and loss, issues relating to past abuse, relationship problems, separation and divorce, work issues, family issues, and loneliness. At these times we can feel we have gone off track and sometimes feel we have lost touch with ourselves. Depression and anxiety can be the result. It is not always easy to talk to family or friends and we can begin to feel very alone and overwhelmed by our difficulties.
I have a concern for people and their well- being. I have a deep belief that they have the capacity and resources to find a way through their difficulties when they are able to talk through and explore their thoughts and feelings in an environment which is safe, respectful and free from judgement.
My aim is to provide an environment where you can begin to gain understanding and awareness of yourself. A space to make sense of how your life experiences have shaped who are now, and identify how this impacts on patterns of behaviour, your relationships with others and on choices you make now. Gaining this awareness can help you accept the person you are and help you to identify a way forward.
I would be happy to offer you a telephone consultation to help you to decide if you think counselling can help. In this consultation we can explore what you are hoping to achieve and clarify the difficulties you are having.
